Farm Fresh Vegetables

CSA - COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE  programs

What is CSA?  A new way for you to receive fresh local grown food, while supporting local farmers.

Are you interested in receiving a basket of fresh vegetables every week for the summer and fall?

We are putting together a basket of fresh vegetables every week for 15 weeks.  We have many different types of vegetables that are grown and picked daily in our large garden.  Each basket should have enough fresh vegetables for a family of two.

The basket will contain seasonal vegetables with an option of having Island made preserves, jams, jellies, pickles and seasonal fruits.  The basket will be ready to pick up at a designated place and time every week.  Or if you are interested in delivery services we can provide this service for an additional cost.

To participate or for more information please contact Dave or Rose at 659-2181, or e-mail at:  info@thechuckwagonfarmmarket.com

   Notes from Rose:

For 2011, CSA  shares are $382.50  for the year of 15 weeks @ $ 25.50/week, or you can buy it on a weekly base for $30.00. We have a 25 acres garden, 4 greenhouses and grow many different vegetables. A typical week could be lbs. potatoes, beets with greens, carrots, 1 lettuce type ie romaine, head, leaf, or mesculan mix, string beans, package of peas, cucumbers, spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, summer squash, corn.    Our baskets will be very full , I can assure you that you will be pleased with the amount of veggies that you will receive.  We also offer farm fresh eggs, preserves, pickles, jams, jellies, and seasonal fruit. Any of these would be extra.  Also in your basket you will receive newsletters, recipes and other newsworthy information.  You will receive 2 wooden bushel baskets with your name on it.  These baskets will be used  to pick up your veggies. If you have any further questions don't  hesitate to ask.
